Five-month pawn tickets: renewal, principal payments and redemption

Understand what a five-month Money OK ticket means and how renewal differs from reducing principal or collecting your item.

Money OK tickets have a five-month term. You may redeem earlier or pay interest to renew, subject to the transaction’s dates and conditions. Read the ticket itself rather than adding an assumed grace period.

What renewal means

Paying interest and completing the renewal process keeps the arrangement going under the branch’s conditions. It does not automatically reduce principal. Contact the issuing branch before the deadline and check any new dates and amounts.

Reducing principal or redeeming

A principal reduction pays down part of what you borrowed. Redemption means paying the amount due to collect your item. Ask the branch for the amount for your intended visit date and the documents needed. There are no extra renewal, principal-reduction or early-redemption fees beyond interest.

Check and keep the ticket

Check the branch name, item description, principal and dates before leaving. Keep the ticket somewhere safe and save a reminder ahead of the deadline, allowing time to contact the branch and complete the transaction. Keep ID and ticket details out of public comments.

A lost ticket or uncertain deadline

Call the issuing branch before travelling so staff can explain the required process and identification. Do not post ID numbers or ticket details publicly. Renewal and redemption · Contact your branch.
