How are pawn days counted? The 15-day and 16-day difference

Money OK includes the pawn date but excludes the redemption date. For example, pawning on 1 September and redeeming on 16 September means counting 1–15 September: 15 days. Pawning and redeeming on the same day counts as a minimum of one day, charged as half a month.

Weekends and holidays

Count calendar dates, not only working days. Weekends and public holidays within the period are included. Branches open daily, 08:00–18:00, including public holidays. Sending a message after closing does not itself complete redemption.

Partial-month examples

A partial month of 15 days or fewer is charged as half a month; more than 15 days is one month, under section 17 of the Pawnshop Act.

For longer periods, separate complete months and the remaining part using the ticket dates; this table is not a universal 30-day-month rule.

A money example

For unchanged principal of THB 10,000, full-month interest is THB 140: THB 40 on the first THB 2,000 plus THB 100 on the remaining THB 8,000. Half-month interest is THB 70. This assumes no previous unpaid interest, intervening payments or promotional rate. There are no additional fees beyond interest.

Interest periods are not forfeiture dates
