How is a gold pawn amount assessed?
Why weight, purity, condition and an in-person inspection matter—and why a market gold price is not a pawn offer.

Money OK archive photograph, not a current stock listing.
A gold pawn amount cannot be confirmed from a photograph or a stated weight alone. Money OK must inspect the item. Gold Traders Association quotations are market references for particular products and conditions, not guaranteed pawn amounts.
Describe your gold
Tell staff whether it is a chain, ring, bracelet or bar. Bring any existing receipt or weight information. Colour and a hallmark do not replace examination of the metal. Ask how stones, clasps and other components affect the assessed weight.
Read the correct quotation
Bullion and jewellery have separate quotations, and buying prices differ from selling prices. Check the purity, unit and announcement time. If our reference page does not have a recent price, use its link to the Gold Traders Association to check the source.
Compare costs as well as the amount
Ask about principal, interest, the ticket date and redemption. Money OK’s monthly rates are 2% on the first THB 2,000 and 1.25% on the excess, with no additional fees besides interest. A larger offer does not necessarily mean lower borrowing costs.
Find out about your actual item
Contact a convenient branch, then bring the gold for a free, no-obligation appraisal. See rates, read about gold purity or ask staff.
