Your first pawnshop visit: what to bring and what to check

A practical checklist for a first visit to Money OK: documents, appraisal, interest, your ticket and collecting your item.

You can ask questions and have an item appraised at Money OK without committing to a pawn transaction. The appraisal is free. Before agreeing, make sure you understand both the money you will receive and how to collect your item later.

Bring the essentials

Thai customers should bring their original Thai ID card and the item, along with any accessories, receipts or reports already available. Customers using other identification should call the branch first; do not assume a passport alone establishes eligibility. There is no need to buy extra accessories just to ask for an appraisal.

Tell staff it is your first visit

Ask how the item is inspected, what amount is offered and how it will be stored. Mention damage or special care needs. You can take time to consider the offer and need not borrow the full amount offered.

Check before signing

Confirm the principal, interest, due date, item description and branch contact details. Money OK tickets have a five-month term. Renewals, principal reductions and early redemption are available without additional fees beyond interest. Paying interest alone does not reduce principal.

Keep your ticket safe

Keep the ticket, save the issuing branch’s number and set a reminder before the printed deadline. Do not post your ID or ticket details in public comments. See the full process or talk to a branch.

Questions about your visit

Have a question? Talk to your branch

For an existing ticket, ask the issuing branch about your balance and documents. If this is your first visit, staff can explain how it works.
