Information before you decide
Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about identification, appraisal, interest, opening hours and branch contact. For an existing ticket, contact the branch that issued it directly.
This page is for general preparation. The actual amount and transaction details are confirmed after physical inspection and on the pawn ticket. If you already have a ticket, rely on that ticket and confirmation from the issuing branch.
Before you visit
What should I bring to a branch?
Bring your original Thai national ID card and the item you want appraised. Customers must be at least 15 years old.
What identification can a foreign customer use?
Call the branch before travelling and explain which identification you have. Staff can confirm the documents and eligibility requirements that apply to you.
Can I decline after the appraisal?
Yes. The appraisal is free, and you can decide after hearing the appraisal result.
Can a photo confirm the final amount?
No. Acceptance and the final amount are confirmed only after staff inspect the physical item at a branch.
What item categories does Money OK consider?
We consider all types of valuables, including gold, jewellery, laptops, tools and Thai amulets. Acceptance depends on the type, condition and item-specific requirements. Call first before moving a large or specialist item.
Interest rates
How long is a ticket valid? Can I renew or reduce principal?
Tickets have a five-month term. You may pay interest to renew on an ongoing basis, or make principal reductions. Paying interest alone does not reduce principal, and another term incurs further interest. Check the amount and dates on each ticket issued by the branch.
Can I redeem before maturity?
You may voluntarily pay interest or redeem before maturity. The five-month term does not prohibit early redemption. Count the pawn date, not the redemption date. Same-day pawning and redemption counts as one day with half-month interest. A partial month of up to 15 days is charged as half a month; more than 15 days is charged as one month, not a daily pro-rata rate.
How is interest calculated?
The monthly rate is 2% on the first THB 2,000 of principal and 1.25% on the excess, with no other fees. Before signing, check that the amount, rate and dates on the ticket match what you agreed.
How is a part-month treated?
Include the pawn date and exclude the redemption date. A remaining part-month of 15 days or fewer costs half a month; over 15 days costs one month. Same-day pawning and redemption counts as a minimum of one day and costs half a month. Confirm your ticket balance with its issuing branch.
Branches and contact
When are branches open?
Every branch opens daily, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, including public holidays, with no lunch closure. If you plan to arrive near closing time, call first to allow enough time for inspection or your transaction.
How many branches are there, and where are they?
Money OK has five branches across four provinces: two in Ubon Ratchathani and one each in Udon Thani, Sisaket and Roi Et. The branch directory lists each address, phone number and map.
How can I speak to branch staff?
Open the branch directory, choose the relevant location and call its direct number. For a large or specialist item, or an existing transaction, the relevant branch can provide the most specific information.
Which online accounts are official?
Use the contact buttons to choose a branch phone number or Messenger account. For LINE, select your branch and use the option shown; if no link is available, call the branch to ask for its account. Contact the issuing branch about an existing ticket.
Existing pawn tickets
Who should I contact about an existing ticket?
Use the information on your pawn ticket and contact the branch that issued it. Branch staff can confirm its status, amount, dates and any documents needed before you travel.
